The tone is good but the reverb is over the top. It would have sounded better in a club but who cares. What you really showed was that a single coil Strat can rock with this amp.

OK so the reverb is to much. The reverb is from a rocktron Intellifex in the loop. I have a Barber Direct Drive out front. I think the settings are basically this...
Reverb Off Pres 1:00 Bass 11:00 Mid 11:00 Treb 1:30 Detail 4:00 Body 10:00 Barber Direct Drive Level 3:00 Tone 12:00 gAIN 8:30 -- Sun Jan 10, 2010 8:39 pm -- Oh and the guitar was a 50th Anni Strat with a Dimarzio Tonezone S in the the bridge and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Blues in the neck Last edited by yngzaklynch on Sat Jul 10, 2010 2:41 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Quote: Oh and the guitar was a 50th Anni Strat Hey cool, I have a 2004 American Deluxe 50th Strat also, great guitars. I pulled the stock S1 pups out and put in Custom Shop fat 50s, love those. _________________ My Gear My Music Resident hater of JJ Tubes, Attenuators, Fuzz pedals |

Like I mentioned I threw some DiMarzios in there and I'm pretty happy with my Strat.

call me crazy
but I thought the reverb sounded pretty good in there... and the tone rocked! In a mix with that great 80's style tone that would have sat in a mix (live) killer!_________________ Gibson R8 Gibson Gold Top Standard Fender Custom Shop Strat Fender Yngwie Strat Marshall 2466 & 425 Hand built '68 spec Plexi (by me) Supro Thunderbolt Roland JC and a whole slew of other guitars, effects, bass and keys... |

Tone was great dude, no question. As soon as I saw 'Tonezone' the accentuated mid punch and gain-chew made total sense too
